Entry Level Collections Representative Needed for a Public Sector Collections Agency in San Antonio, TX – Hiring Immediately!

PM SHIFT ONLY  Mon-Thurs 12pm-9pm, Fri 8am-5pm, No Weekends

A public sector agency providing customized collection programs for its clientele is seeking a Collections Representative to be part of the solution, using empathy and negotiation skills helping customers create debt resolution plans benefiting all parties.

What Your Day Looks Like:

  • Make 100-150 outbound calls daily to consumer and business contacts, depending on the client.
  • Work with customers to negotiate personalized debt repayment strategies.
  • Show professionalism and empathy while addressing a variety of customer backgrounds and situations.
  • Adhere to federally mandated compliance regulations regarding fair debt collection practices.
  • Effectively manage time to meet performance goals.
  • Contribute positively to team morale and customer interactions.
  • Use a proprietary system to record customer contact details and call outcomes.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

What You Bring:
 

  • High school diploma required (or equivalent).
  • Transitioning military members are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • A solid and stable work history.
  • Transferrable skills from retail, restaurant, or teaching experiences are a plus—we’re willing to train!
  • Strong professionalism, work ethic, and communication skills.
  • Persistence and the ability to overcome objections.
  • Comfort with common office software and tools.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
