Recruiter needed for a local, family-owned grocery chain.

Pay Rate: $67,800 – $82,100 + Full Benefits Package
Location: Edmonds, WA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid Position (2-3 days per week in-office)
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8-5pm (Can be flexible)
 
Recruiter with prior restaurant / retail recruiting experience needed to help staff positions for a Seattle grocery chain. This role will work on positions such as: Checker, Courtesy Clerk, Food Service, as well as positions in the corporate office.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conducts full life cycle staffing from job posting placement through job offer/closing using Applicant Tracking System, which includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, hiring and on boarding

  • Recruits, screens, and interviews candidates who are highly qualified, motivated, and committed to working within the company culture

  • Conducts assessments of candidates, records results and other relevant information

  • Coordinates and attends both internal and external job fairs

  • Sources applicants through networking, connecting with colleges/schools, and social media sites with diversity in mind

  • Completes onboarding for all new hires, including all required documentation

  • Utilizes company’s communication platform to connect new hires and assist in engaging all employees with employment opportunities

  • Fosters a sense of connection for new hires to company culture throughout onboarding and beyond

  • Models company values to all internal and external guests

  • Supports the work of the People Support Services Department, ensuring consistency with department practices and policies

  • Oversees, trains, and mentors Lead Interviewers

  • Coordinates and assists on various strategic HR projects

  • Provides excellent guest service

  • Stays current with industry trends, standards and changes

  • Ensures the dissemination of and adherence to all company and department policies

  • Supports and follows sustainability programs and all safety and security policies

  • Role models attitude of service to staff and guests

 
Requirements: 

  • Must have prior restaurant or retail recruiting experience

  • Recent recruiting experience in the food service industry extremely valuable

  • Must have intermediate or higher computer skills including MS Office, ATS systems and HRIS experience

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment/labor laws and regulations

  • Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

  • Requires regular travel to some or all company locations throughout Snohomish, King, and Kitsap counties

  • Excellent guest service skills

  • Must have exceptional time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to fulfill immediate and long-term business needs

  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills (including spelling, grammar and industry language)

  • Must be accurate, detail-orientated, and highly organized

  • Must be a team player, leader, positive role model

  • Ability to solve problems and resolve conflict

  • Ability to work independently as well as build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of guests, employees, and leadership
