Seeking a Clinician specializing in mental health and recovery for a private not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization.

Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Onsite in New Bedford, MA
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 8am – 4pm
*Either Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday depending on candidate preference
As a Clinician, you’ll be supporting a program that provides intensive treatment, rehabilitation, and supportive services for individuals experiencing multiple life challenges, such as homelessness, unemployment, addictive disorders, legal involvement, and/or significant medical conditions.

Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology
- License required – LCSW, LICSW, LMHC
- 3+ years of experience in community support programs serving persons with chronic mental disabilities and co-occuring disorders is preferred
- Knowledge of the DSM and its clinical application; knowledge and practice of well established accepted practices and evidence based clinical intervention methods and their appropriate applications (i.e., Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and DBT)
- Valid driver’s license required
Responsibilities in Detail:
Screening, Assessment, And Individual Action Planning
- Screen and meet clients
- Assess, create, maintain and monitor if any immediate interventions are needed to maintain the health and safety of the person until the Individualized Action Plan is developed.
- Maintain accurate Adult Comprehensive Assessment tool reviews.
- Develop a crisis management and relapse-prevention plan.
- Monitor that all screenings, assessments and individual action plans are developed collaboratively.
Program Development & Implementation
- Integrate an effective treatment plan for serious and persistent mental illness, into everyday practice and clinical intervention.
- Evaluate and reviews clinical implementation of their services and programming in conjunction with Lead Clinician.
- Integrates a mix of services to meet the complex needs of clients.
- Assist with leading the process of effective clinical service delivery and timely implementation of services.
Therapeutic Support
- Develop and maintains clinically informed and therapeutically valid relationships with clients.
- Provides clinical support to clients with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders, offering intervention.
- Provide face-to-face crisis intervention to aid the clients in managing a crisis and providing short-term intervention to decrease risk and manage symptoms.
- Offer family support, education, resources, and training related to the treatment and effects of mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
- Develops, implements, and facilitates clinical groups.
Leadership, Coaching, & Professional Development
- Assists Lead Clinician in providing clinical supervision to staff.
- Provides clinical leadership and informed opinion regarding clinical decision-making, implementation of services, and outcomes.
Documentation
- Produce clinical documentation that is clear and concise, reflecting the client’s need during recovery.
- Provide written documentation required by the companies policies and procedures.
- Maintain and or produces records, report & statistics necessary for program functioning and evaluation as required.
