Licensed Mental Health Counselor needed for a private, nonsectarian, not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization.

Pay Rate: $75,000 – $80,000 DOE + $5,000 Sign On Bonus
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina 
Work Arrangement: On-Site
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8-5  
 
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will lead a dedicated team in providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals in the community. This is a leadership position that requires experience in mental illness, substance abuse, and forensic interventions, with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and flexibility. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of clinicians and support staff in delivering Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services to individuals with mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, promoting accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Coordinate and facilitate daily internal meetings to review cases, discuss treatment plans, and ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
  • Oversee client documentation, including case notes, treatment plans, and billing, to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality of services.
  • Conduct regular clinical supervision sessions with team members, providing support, feedback, and guidance on client cases and interventions.
  • Collaborate with community partners, including detention centers, to provide group therapy and support services as needed.
  • Maintain a caseload of 10-15 clients, providing direct clinical support and interventions in the community setting.
  • Support clients throughout Wade County, requiring reliable transportation and the ability to navigate the community effectively.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and accountability within the team, promoting open communication and constructive feedback.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and client needs, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in response to evolving challenges and opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent licensure.
  • Additional certification as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness, substance abuse disorders, and involvement in forensic settings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to promote accountability, collaboration, and professional growth among team members.
  • Ability to effectively manage administrative tasks, including documentation, case review, and billing.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout Wade County to provide support to clients.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, priorities, and responsibilities.
