Schedule: Full-Time, Mon-Fri

A software company is seeking a Senior HR Benefits and Payroll Administrator. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and reliable HR professional who excels in payroll and benefits administration. The right candidate will take ownership of responsibilities, ensuring accuracy in payroll processing, benefits invoicing, and employee inquiries.

What Your Day Looks Like:

  • Administer payroll for 350 salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Handle manual payroll entries for new hires (a few per month) and oversee stock and expense-related payroll details.
  • Reconcile payroll records and ensure all details align properly.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries, including FSA, copays, deductibles, in-network vs. out-of-network coverage.
  • Manage benefits invoicing and ensure timely payments to providers.
  • Provide basic HR guidance and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Identify and address payroll or benefits-related issues, resolving them independently or escalating as needed.
  • Communicate complex payroll and benefits information clearly to employees at all levels.
  • Work collaboratively with HR team members to ensure seamless support for employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion, handling sensitive employee data with professionalism.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in HR benefits and payroll administration (10+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required.
  • Strong understanding of benefits administration (not responsible for designing new programs but should understand common benefits concepts).
  • Highly detail-oriented and process-driven, with a strong ability to own and manage tasks independently.
  • Ability to work in a non-corporate environment, adaptable to a well-rounded and dynamic HR setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills – able to handle unexpected issues effectively without providing incorrect information.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to balance multiple HR responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and educate employees on payroll and benefits in a patient and approachable manner.
  • Proactive mindset, capable of identifying issues before they become problems and taking initiative to resolve them.
