Mental Health Technician needed for behavioral health facility in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

Pay Rate: $18 – $20.52 per hour + Sign On Bonus
Location: Malvern, Pennsylvania
Work Arrangement: On-Site
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full Time
Schedule: 1st and 2nd Shift Available

  • Must work every other Saturday / Sunday
  • Off 1 Consistent Weekday Each Week

 
Become a member of an organization that serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders as a Mental Health Professional. This facility includes programs for psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF),  acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training. They also offer approved private school educational services to children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. 
 
Requirements: 

  • High school diploma and two year’s direct care experience or a Bachelor’s degree from an 
  • accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline to include but not limited to 
  • psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, 
  • counseling.

About the Company:
Our client employs a team of acute care professionals dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adolescents, ages 5 to 18, and their families, in acute mental health crisis. Their treatment team, which includes psychiatrists, clinical case managers, nurses, teachers, licensed psychologists and clinical social workers, along with the family and child, work together to create a safety, stabilization and treatment plan that focuses on a successful discharge of the child back to his or her community, or lesser level of care. The majority of children stay at DCBHC between three days and 21 days. Their facility works with diagnosis such as suicidal gestures and attempts, cutting and self-injurious behaviors, depression, aggression, psychosis, autism spectrum disorders and/or drug and alcohol issues. Treatment is individualized to each child’s needs, including trauma-informed care, DBT skills groups and extensive discharge planning to support successful transitions after an inpatient stay.
