Certified Recovery Coach needed for private, non-profit behavioral healthcare organization in New Bedford, MA.

Pay Rate: $21 – $23 per hour + Full Benefits
Location: New Bedford, MA
Work Arrangement: On-Site Position

The Certified Recovery Coach will engage individuals, and where applicable family members- in non-directive and supportive relationships that promote empowerment and recovery from addictions. The ideal candidate is compassionate, maintains composure in high-pressure situations, attempts to truly understand others and is focused on their well-being, is organized in their approach, and utilizes problem-solving skills to produce solutions.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist newly enrolled individuals with the enrollment process and establish therapeutic rapport.
  • Collaborate with individuals and the Integrated Team to set meaningful goals focusing on mental health recovery, daily living skills, and more.
  • Develop comprehensive, individualized action plans (IAPs) using evidence-based practices.
  • Use trauma-informed approaches in treatment planning and service delivery.
  • Support individuals through life transitions and help create crisis management plans.
  • Apply the PRISMModel® for treating serious and persistent mental illness.
  • Promote integrated services addressing the individual’s complex recovery needs.
  • Create interventions across various life domains, such as wellness, housing, employment, and relationships.
  • Facilitate peer-led activities, empowering individuals in the planning process.
  • Provide peer counseling, support, and education to validate individuals' life experiences.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing and support self-help tools like WRAP and peer groups.
  • Encourage family involvement based on the individual's preferences and develop communication plans.
  • Maintain clear and concise clinical documentation/records
Requirements:
  • Must be a Certified Recovery Coach
  • High School Equivalency required, AA or BA in Human Service field preferred
  • Must possess lived experience (defined as having suffered from an addiction) and one Year of addictions recovery is required. 
  • Crisis Intervention experience preferred.  
  • Preference will be given to multi–lingual candidates who meet the cultural and linguistic needs of the population served. 
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
