HR Support Administrator Needed for an Industrial Fabrication Company

Pay Rate: $22.00/HR – $23.55/HR
Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA (Harbor Island)
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8pm-5pm or 7am-4pm, Additional Hours may be required to meet firm and/or client demands; Flexible work arrangements may be available as the position will interact with local and remote team members.
A value-driven industrial organization with approximately 1,800 employees across various states, plays a key role in supporting energy generation, infrastructure development, and national defense and needs an HR Support Administrator. As an HR Support Administrator, you will provide vital administrative, clerical, and technical support to the HR Support function. Collaborating closely with Operations, Human Resources, and Payroll, you’ll ensure smooth coordination of projects and activities while maintaining essential HR Support and employee dispatch records. This role is key to connecting production employees, supervisors, and HR teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Systems Management: Maintain and update the Kronos Human Resources/Payroll system, documenting employee status, work assignments, and compiling data for reports. Recommend process improvements when needed.
- Staffing Coordination: Process staffing requests by preparing paperwork, initiating union dispatch calls, and tracking efforts to secure staffing. Support applicant tracking and job postings through the Applicant Tracking System.
- Recruitment Support: Collaborate with Human Resources to schedule interviews, contact applicants, and track recruitment progress.
- Employee Assistance: Provide support to employees with timecard and timekeeping issues, paycheck distribution, and weekly time entry processing.
- Recordkeeping & Reporting: Prepare and distribute staffing reports, maintain dispatch documentation, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 1+ years of administrative experience; HR support experience preferred. Familiarity with local, state and federal laws.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with human resources principles; shipyard staffing knowledge is a plus. Willingness to learn.
- Collaborative: Strong communication skills verbal and written, able to actively listen, building relationships with stakeholders.
- Confidential: Able to handle sensitive, confidential information discretely and professionally.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, able to meet deadlines and prioritize while maintaining accuracy and quality of work. Able to identify needed process improvements and collaborate with HR Business Partners for solutions.
- Tools: Experience with Kronos or similar HR systems preferred. Proficiency with MS Office.
