The ideal Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidate will be personable, highly motivated, and committed to delivering exceptional care. This role involves a mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities, with a focus on supporting the practice’s mission of providing personalized healthcare services.
What Your Day Looks Like:
- Provide both clinical and administrative support under the guidance of clinic providers.
- Manage patient communications, including answering phones and triaging messages or requests from patients, staff, referring physicians, and pharmacies.
- Oversee and manage the IV schedule, including treatments for hormone therapy and illness.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for services such as a la carte offerings, weight loss, and hormone therapy.
- Greet and check in patients, gather patient history, take vitals, and document in medical records.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical exams and procedures.
- Perform approved medical procedures in accordance with state regulations.
- Communicate instructions and ensure patient understanding as directed by providers or nursing staff.
- Demonstrate empathy and active listening to provide compassionate care and address patient concerns.
- Assist with scheduling tests, treatments, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain clean and well-stocked exam rooms, ensuring instruments are sterilized and supplies are adequate.
- Respond to referral and appointment requests, and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and care providers.
- Support the growth of the practice by assisting in expanding its patient base and footprint.
- Cross-train and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Exhibit strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage competing priorities efficiently.
- Foster a positive and professional work environment through clear communication and teamwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Valid LPN license required.
- Experience working in a practice with expertise in weight loss and hormone therapy valuable.
- Experience working in Athena or similar EMR preferred.
- Experience working in Square or other payment provider preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in documentation and adherence to protocols and procedures.
