A behavioral healthcare organization dedicated to delivering exceptional behavioral healthcare services, integrated medical, psychological and traditional self-help approaches to addiction treatment is seeking a Clinical Program Director.
The Clinical Program Director is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the clinical and operational components of a recovery program, including the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and lodging services provided at the recovery center. This role requires a dynamic leader who can address the evolving needs of our post-COVID patient population and ensure the delivery of high-quality substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health (MH) services. The Clinical Program Director will supervise program staff, lead clinical initiatives, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

What Your Day Looks Like:
Program Oversight and Development:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the recovery program and the recovery center.
  • Lead efforts to overhaul and enhance clinical programs to meet the higher acuity needs of patients.
  • Oversee the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), ensuring its alignment with evidence-based practices and patient needs.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe, supportive, and sober living environment.

Clinical Leadership:

  • Provide clinical supervision and support to program staff, including therapists and counselors.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality individual, small group, and family therapies, as well as educational and recovery-focused groups.
  • Conduct regular program evaluations and use data-driven approaches to improve services.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor clinical and support staff.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities and maintain a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure programs adhere to state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee substance use screenings, curfew compliance, and other program rules at The Inn.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation of treatment plans and patient progress.

Patient and Community Engagement:

  • Foster a therapeutic environment at The Inn that promotes health and recovery.
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to support patient reintegration into work environments and the broader community.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the program to address concerns and facilitate positive outcomes.

Other Duties as Assigned.

What You Bring:

  • A clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) in any state.
  • Master’s degree in a related field with at least five years of program management experience in the SUD/MH field.
  • Licensed clinician with 5-10 years of experience in SUD/MH looking to transition into an administrative role. Training will be provided for qualified candidates.
  • Demonstrates prior supervisory or management experience in SUD/MH settings, particularly with justice-involved populations.
  • Experienced in leading clinical program transformations.
  • Strong interest in clinical program improvement for higher acuity populations.

Program Details:
Recovery Center:

  • Provides dorm-style lodging for men and women enrolled in the recovery program.
  • Amenities include meals, laundry services, workout and recreational facilities, onsite AA meetings, yoga, and arts and crafts activities.
  • Guests are required to stay sober, meet curfews, and participate in recovery activities and random screenings.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP):

  • Offers treatment for individuals who can attend day programming and return to their communities or sober living environments.
  • Runs Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., providing therapies and educational groups focused on early recovery and community reintegration.
  • Average daily census (ADC): 170
  • Average length of stay (ALOS): 35 treatment days (7 weeks).
