A concierge medical practice dedicated to personalizing the patient experience is seeking a Patient Access Specialist focused on providing high-quality care with exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is hard-working, positive, and patient when interacting with both staff and patients.

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the front office runs smoothly and efficiently, requiring a strong customer service background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment. While medical assisting experience is a plus, the primary responsibility is front office duties, including greeting patients, managing appointments, and enhancing the overall patient experience.

What Your Day Looks Like:

  • Greet and check in patients, obtaining necessary information for their appointments.
  • Check out patients, verify insurance, and collect co-pays and outstanding balances.
  • Handle and screen incoming calls, retrieve and respond to voicemail messages.
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment logs.
  • Ensure the front office is stocked with necessary supplies and sort and distribute mail.
  • Scan and manage medical records, submit charges to requesting companies, and collect payments for records before sending.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms when the Medical Assistant is unavailable.
  • Resolve patient issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in a medical front office or related role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing processes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy office environment.
  • Positive attitude, patience, and professionalism when interacting with patients and staff.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus but not required.

Benefits:

  • 100% employer-paid health insurance (United Healthcare).
  • PTO:
    • 10 days after 6 months.
    • 15 days after the first year, increasing yearly after year five.
  • 8 recognized holidays.
