Pay Rate: $17.50/HR – $19.95/HR +Sign-On 1K Bonus (Paid in 3 Installments)
Location: Onsite in Villanova, PA
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Full Time
A behavioral healthcare organization with a unique approach to changing lives is seeking an entry-level Instructional Support Specialist (ISS) for its schools. This role is similar to a paraprofessional position and is available in four of six schools within the organization. The schools serve children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of needs, including behavioral health challenges, autism spectrum disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful, positive difference in the lives of students while developing valuable professional skills.
What Your Day Looks Like:

Ensure the health and safety of students in the classroom and other school settings.

Support teachers with classroom management, academic activities, and social and behavioral needs.

Implement and reinforce Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) strategies and objectives.

Report student progress on a daily basis, adhering to instructional and administrative guidelines.

Assist with activities of daily living (ADL) for students, particularly those with IDD or autism.

Use de-escalation techniques and, when necessary, perform physical restraints as trained to manage challenging behaviors.
What You Bring:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Minimum age of 21.

Experience working with IDD, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral health (preferred).

Willingness to perform physical restraints as needed, with training provided.

Ability to manage challenging behaviors in a compassionate and professional manner.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and team members.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced educational setting.
