Pay Rate: $30–48/hour 
Location: Hybrid/Onsite in Seattle, WA(2 days onsite, possibly 1 day WFH)
Employment Type: 3-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
Schedule: Approximately 24 hours/week (flexible; preference for consistent office hours)

 

Our client is a Seattle-based, community-focused ice cream company known for its small-batch, locally sourced products and strong commitment to employee wellbeing, equitable practices, and social impact.

As an HR Manager, you will serve as a key partner to managers and employees by providing guidance on coaching and performance management, supporting employee relations matters, facilitating onboarding, and responding to benefits-related inquiries to ensure a positive and compliant workplace experience.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide day-to-day HR support including onboarding, employee relations, and benefits-related questions
· Partner with managers on employee relations matters, including documentation, feedback conversations, and PIPs
· Support high-volume onboarding efforts during a period of rapid hiring (60+ recent hires; growing toward 100 employees)
· Assist with benefits administration and employee enrollments, including 401(k) and new hire benefits support
· Audit HR compliance components including employee files, job descriptions, and job postings
· Build and implement scalable tools, templates, and processes for managers (documentation, onboarding, feedback, etc.)
· Collaborate with external partner (Reverb) to help optimize ADP Workforce Now (WFN) and HR systems
· Help transition manual HR processes into more efficient, scalable systems
· Serve as a highly communicative, approachable HR presence for a workforce that includes many first-time employees
· Other duties as assigned
 

Qualifications
· 4+ years of HR experience at the HR Generalist or HR Manager level
· Strong experience in employee relations, onboarding, and benefits administration
· Experience working in high-growth environments with evolving processes
· Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) strongly preferred
· Experience in retail, restaurant, or similarly fast-paced, high-turnover environments preferred
· Proven ability to build relationships and support early-career managers
· Strong communication skills with a highly employee-centric approach
· Experience developing HR tools, templates, and scalable processes
