Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

As the Patient Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations of specialty treatment programs by coordinating patient care, scheduling services, managing documentation, and serving as a key point of contact throughout the treatment process. This role works closely with providers, clinical staff, and external partners to ensure a positive patient experience, maintain compliance requirements, and support efficient clinical workflows. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. 

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Coordinate patient care and support services throughout the treatment process. 

  • Schedule appointments, treatments, and follow-up visits while managing provider and patient calendars. 

  • Verify insurance benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and assist with financial coordination. 

  • Maintain accurate patient records, treatment documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements. 

  • Educate patients on treatment expectations, procedures, timelines, and follow-up care. 

  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates or concerns to the clinical team. 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient questions, concerns, and ongoing support. 

  • Coordinate with internal teams, pharmacies, and external partners to ensure continuity of care. 

  • Track program outcomes, maintain reports, and support quality improvement initiatives. 

  • Assist with workflow coordination and operational support for specialty treatment programs. 

  • Other duties as assigned  

  

Qualifications  

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or healthcare setting required. 

  • Previous experience with insurance verification, coding, billing, or prior authorizations preferred. 

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate patient care activities. 

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a patient-centered approach. 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner. 

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-through skills. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment. 

  • Willingness to complete additional training and obtain required certifications.
