Salary/Pay Rate: $45-$60 Per Hour DOE
Location: Hybrid in Seattle, WA
Employment Type: Contract (approx.. 6 months)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (some evenings and weekends required)
About Our Client
Our client is a highly respected nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing its mission through community engagement, philanthropy, and impactful fundraising initiatives within the immigration space. They are seeking an experienced fundraising and events professional to step into a critical leadership role supporting one of the organization’s premier fundraising events – their first gala!
As the Senior Fundraising Project Manager, you’ll serve as the strategic project lead for a major fundraising gala, partnering closely with executive leadership, committees, sponsors, donors, and volunteers to ensure a successful event campaign from planning through execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary project manager for a large-scale fundraising gala, maintaining timelines, deliverables, and accountability across multiple stakeholders.
- Partner closely with executive leadership and committee chairs to drive event strategy and execution.
- Coordinate and support six event committees, ensuring alignment and progress toward fundraising goals.
- Oversee sponsorship development activities and assist with sponsor stewardship efforts.
- Collaborate with host committees to maximize table sales and attendee participation.
- Cultivate donor relationships and support fundraising activities leading up to the gala.
- Facilitate regular planning meetings and maintain momentum across all event workstreams.
- Track project milestones, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues.
- Support event execution and post-event follow-up activities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising, development, special events, or related experience.
- Demonstrated success project-managing fundraising galas or special events generating $1M+ in revenue.
- Experience working with executive leadership, volunteer committees, board members, and donors.
- Strong sponsorship development and donor cultivation experience preferred.
- Exceptional project management, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and limited direction.
- Self-starter capable of quickly assessing needs and driving initiatives forward.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and donor/event management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
