As the Personal Banker, you will build and strengthen client relationships by providing personalized banking support, identifying financial needs, and recommending appropriate products and services. You will assist with account opening, lending needs, digital banking tools, and day-to-day branch operations while contributing to consumer and small business growth. This role also provides opportunities to develop sales, service, relationship management, and operational skills while supporting overall branch performance.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Build and deepen consumer and small business banking relationships.  

  • Open new accounts and assist clients with deposit and lending needs.  

  • Identify financial needs through consultative conversations and recommend appropriate solutions.  

  • Support the growth of new deposit, loan, and client relationships.  

  • Provide exceptional service while resolving client questions and concerns.  

  • Introduce clients to digital banking tools and self-service options.  

  • Conduct outreach to local businesses, community organizations, and referral sources.  

  • Support strategies designed to expand the branch’s consumer and small business client base.  

  • Assist with daily branch operations and serve as a welcoming point of contact for clients.  

  • Communicate clearly with clients and team members in person, by phone, and through virtual channels.  

  • Develop knowledge of banking products, systems, policies, and procedures.  

  • Complete required training and certifications to support continued professional development.  

  • Contribute to branch sales, service, and performance goals.  

  • Support bank initiatives and additional branch assignments as needed.  

  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, teamwork, accountability, and a strong service mindset. 

  • Other duties as assigned  

  

Qualifications  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  

  • College coursework or a degree in business or a related field preferred.  

  • Prior banking, customer service, or client-facing experience.  

  • Two to four years of banking experience preferred.  

  • Experience recommending products and services or managing client relationships is a plus.  

  • Strong math, organizational, and analytical skills.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and Power BI.  

  • Comfortable using smartphones, digital banking tools, and other technology platforms.  

  • Ability to demonstrate digital and self-service banking tools to clients.  

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.  

  • Ability to build rapport and identify appropriate solutions based on client needs.  

  • Reliable transportation required.
