Pay Rate: $29 – $30 Per HR
Location: Onsite in Marietta, GA
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday, as needed (must be flexible)
A nationally ranked, inclusive healthcare system and one of the largest in Georgia, dedicated to providing exceptional care is seeking an Imaging Technician join the team and help ensure a seamless patient experience.
As Imaging Technician, you'll be responsible for providing safe, high-quality patient care through accurate history collection, proper preparation, and clear communication while ensuring comfort and safety throughout imaging procedures. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining diagnostic equipment, producing clinically accurate images, and adhering to quality control and regulatory standards. The position also supports departmental operations through documentation, teamwork, and continuous professional development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collects patient history, verifies orders, and assesses for contraindications.

Prepares patients for procedures, ensuring privacy, comfort, and clear communication.

Confirms correct patient identification and procedure details per policy.

Evaluates images for quality before releasing patients and consults physicians when needed.

Responds to emergencies and maintains readiness of crash cart and life support equipment.

Operates imaging equipment safely, minimizing radiation exposure while ensuring image quality.

Cleans, disinfects, and maintains equipment; reports malfunctions promptly.

Ensures equipment is properly calibrated and ready for use.

Produces high-quality diagnostic images with correct positioning, technique, and labeling.

Ensures studies are properly transmitted to PACS and prior exams are reviewed when needed.

Qualifications
-
Minimum 1 year of previous experience within the past 7 years [REQUIRED]

Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology [REQUIRED]

ARRT Radiography Certification [REQUIRED]

Basic Life Support or BLS Instructor Certification [REQUIRED]

Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and staff.

Provides clear explanations, directions, and clinical information to ensure cooperation and positive interactions.

Maintains professionalism, customer service, and composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Prioritizes tasks effectively, remains detail-oriented, and multitasks efficiently.

Functions independently while collaborating as a productive team member and adhering to hospital policies and professional standards.

Possesses strong knowledge of diagnostic radiology, including patient positioning, exposure factors, radiation safety, anatomy, and pathology.
