HR Generalist Needed for Pet Food Retailer in Tukwila, WA
Job ID: 25053
Pay Rate: $30 – $33 per HR
Location: Onsite in Tukwila, WA
Employment Type: Contract, 1-2 Months
Schedule: 8 AM – 4 PM or 9 AM – 5 PM

We are seeking a proactive and versatile HR Generalist to support a wide range of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of HR best practices and confidentiality, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys working closely with employees and leadership to foster a positive and productive workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organize and scan employee files/paperwork

Digitize paperwork/records into company HR systems

Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR programs.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and ensure data integrity.

Support training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and engagement.

Partner with leadership to promote a positive workplace culture and employee experience.

Assist with HR reporting, metrics, and special projects as needed.

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Must have prior experience using ADP
-
Previous HR Generalist experience strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

High level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills with a focus on collaboration.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
