Pay Rate: $17 to $25 per hour DOE
Location: Onsite
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM

Job Summary:
The Writer (Ophthalmic Scribe) plays a vital role in the delivery of exceptional patient care by directly supporting physicians during clinical visits. This position assists in documenting patient encounters, performing ophthalmic procedures, and ensuring accurate and timely entry of medical information that aids in diagnosis and treatment.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a clinical setting, have strong attention to detail, and are passionate about supporting quality eye care.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Accurately document patient visits and physician notes in real time during exams.
  • Assist the physician by performing ophthalmic procedures as directed.
  • Ensure patient information is entered accurately into EMR systems.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards at all times.
  • Support clinic operations with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with technicians, physicians, and other clinic staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • Be a high school graduate or possess equivalent education.
  • Demonstrate clear, concise, and accurate written communication skills.
  • Be computer literate with proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Accurately spell and use ophthalmic medical terminology.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all interactions.
  • Have prior experience in ophthalmology or a related medical field (preferred but not required).
