VP of Operations needed for a physician-led healthcare organization

Salary: $150,000 – $190,000 per year
Location: Onsite in North Andover, MA
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri
Our client is a physician-led health organization that focuses on providing high-quality, cost effective care to provide a better healthcare experience and make sure patients truly get the quality of care they need. As the Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the hospital to ensure efficient, high-quality, and patient-centered care.
This role provides strategic direction and operational oversight across multiple departments, including facilities, support services, clinical operations, and administrative functions. The VP of Operations works collaboratively with senior leadership to drive performance improvement, optimize resource utilization, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the client’s mission and long-term goals.
Responsibilities:

Supervise and provide leadership to directors and managers across all company sites, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Inspire and motivate teams, building a supportive, high-performing culture that emphasizes accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Oversee the implementation and adherence to the company’s performance scorecard, ensuring all sites meet or exceed established KPIs.

Drive provider productivity and efficiency by identifying and addressing barriers to optimal performance.

Collaborate with site directors to maintain operational excellence and improve patient and provider satisfaction.

Develop and manage budgets for all sites, ensuring financial goals are met.

Analyze financial data and operational costs, identifying savings opportunities while maintaining high-quality care standards.

Contribute to revenue growth through strategic initiatives to optimize productivity and profitability.

Lead the operational integration of new sites as the business expands, ensuring seamless transitions that align with company standards.

Develop scalable processes and workflows to support growth and maintain operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, patient safety standards, and quality metrics.

Maintain accreditation or certifications at all sites (as applicable).

Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance and guide strategic decisions.

Provide regular performance reports to the executive team, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.

Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including hospital executives, referring providers, and partners.

Support the development of new partnerships and ensure client satisfaction.

Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive onboarding and training programs for new staff across all sites.

Enhance brand reputation by engaging with the community and fostering relationships that support organizational growth.

Manage operations across multiple sites with varying sizes and service lines, maintaining consistency in performance and culture.

Travel may be required to visit sites or support expansion efforts but will remain balanced to ensure an optimal work-life equilibrium.
Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in outpatient or inpatient healthcare operations management.

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Proven ability to supervise and mentor diverse teams across multiple sites in a growing organization.

Demonstrated success in driving productivity and operational excellence across geographically dispersed teams.

Experience handling the operational integration of new sites or facilities is highly desirable.

Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of accountability and high performance.

Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and improving cost-efficiency.

Proficiency with healthcare technologies or systems (e.g., EMRs, productivity software).
