VP of Business Development needed for a physician-led healthcare organization

Salary: $140,000 – $170,000 per year
Location: Onsite in North Andover, MA
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri
Our client is a physician-led health organization that focuses on providing high-quality, cost effective care to provide a better healthcare experience and make sure patients truly get the quality of care they need. As the Vice President of Business Development, you will drive the growth of our client and their partnership with hospitals and health systems. You will be responsible for identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities.
This is a high-impact, externally-facing role which blends sales, relationship management, and strategic thinking. You will oversee market analysis, develops business plans, and collaborates with senior leadership to drive revenue growth and community engagement. The VP of Business Development ensures alignment with the hospital’s mission and regulatory standards while promoting innovative solutions to meet evolving healthcare needs.
Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with hospitals and healthcare systems requiring critical care, hospitalist, or pulmonary services.

Oversee the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and relationship building to proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.

Build and manage a robust pipeline of acute and post-acute care hospital leads.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital executives, medical directors, and other key decision-makers.

Collaborate with the CEO and operations team to develop tailored solutions for prospective partners based on their clinical and financial goals.

Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and executive meetings to enhance brand visibility.

Ensure all contracted engagements align with the organization’s standards and long-term strategic goals.

Close a minimum of two new hospital contracts annually as part of a long-term national growth strategy.

Support transition of newly signed clients to the operations team, ensuring smooth onboarding and client satisfaction.
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships in the healthcare industry.

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.

Proven success in closing multi-million-dollar service contracts with hospitals or healthcare systems.

Strong understanding of acute and post-acute care dynamics, including physician staffing models in critical care and hospital medicine.

Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Experience working directly with hospital executives and C-suite decision-makers.

Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed business development targets, including closing multiple hospital contracts per year.

Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
