Salary/Pay Rate: $33–$38 per hour
Location: Remote (U.S.-based only; candidates in Seattle, WA strongly preferred)
Employment Type: Contract (potential to extend or convert for Seattle-based candidates ONLY)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (some flexibility allowed)

The HR Generalist will play a key role in payroll management, benefits administration, and people operations as the company transitions through year-end and open enrollment.
CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT HAVE DIRECT PAYROLL PROCESSING EXPERENCE IN PAYLOCITY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR EMPLOYMENT.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage bi-weekly U.S. payroll processing for approximately 80 employees via Paylocity (including limited contractor payments).
· Oversee Open Enrollment, including coordination with brokers and carriers (Cigna), communicating updates to employees, and ensuring accurate implementation of changes.
· Administer employee benefits, including onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing benefits support.
· Manage leave of absence (LOA) processes for 1–2 employees in-house.
· Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations and assist with policy updates as needed.
· Provide People Operations support, including general HR administration, documentation, and coordination with Talent Acquisition.
· Partner with the Employer of Record to support consultant management and compliance needs.
· Assist with the rollout of a new HRIS (Darwin Box), including data migration and testing.
· Support employee communications, culture initiatives, and other HR projects as assigned.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR/People Operations role.
· Proven experience managing payroll in Paylocity (required).
· Experience leading benefits open enrollment and working with brokers and carriers.
· Strong understanding of U.S. employment law and compliance.
· Ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
· Excellent communication and organization skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
· HRIS implementation experience preferred (Darwin Box a plus).
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
