A healthcare organization committed to compassionate and customized patient care, with a strong focus on pediatric healthcare, is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join the team.
The Supply Chain Coordinator supports the efficient operation of hospital supply chain functions, including inventory management, replenishment, and distribution for clinical and medical-surgical units. This role serves as a key liaison between Supply Chain and end-users, ensuring timely delivery of stock and non-stock items, coordinating shipping and receiving, and assisting with recalls, substitutions, and inventory counts. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, knowledge of Lean principles, and experience with supply chain systems, paired with excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities to maintain smooth and compliant supply operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support daily supply chain operations for emergency and medical-surgical units, ensuring timely inventory replenishment.

Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain and end-users, addressing supply needs, questions, and issues.

Coordinate acquisition, storage, and distribution of stock and non-stock items, including shipping, receiving, and delivery of hospital packages.

Maintain supply par levels, barcode labeling, and inventory records, and manage Add/Change/Inactivate (ACI) requests.

Assist with product recalls, substitutions, conversions, and year-end or periodic inventory counts.

Monitor stock status, backorders, expiration dates, and slow-moving or obsolete items, ensuring proper rotation and reporting discrepancies.

Collaborate with vendors and senior buyers to resolve shipment delays, lost items, or documentation issues.

Ensure compliance with organizational quality, safety, and regulatory standards in all supply chain processes.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, receiving, or distribution.

Moderate analytical skills, including the ability to analyze ERP system data, identify supply chain trends, establish baselines, and develop implementation plans.

Understanding of Lean principles and medical supply terminology.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at a beginner to intermediate level.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with clinicians, hospital personnel, and other stakeholders.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to support supply chain initiatives while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
