Pay Rate: $24 – $26 per hour (DOE) + Commission
Location: Onsite Mountlake Terrace
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8-5pm

Our client is a well-established commercial cleaning organization founded in 1984, operating through a large network of independently owned and operated franchise businesses across the United States and Canada. With thousands of franchise locations supported by regional partners, they serve a diverse customer base spanning office environments, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and industrial and manufacturing settings.
Position Summary
The Business Development Specialist is an sales role focused on outbound prospecting and appointment setting for the sales team. This position is not a closing role. Instead, the Business Development Specialist will be responsible for researching, contacting, and qualifying prospects via phone and email, and scheduling qualified appointments for sales representatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Making calls to businesses
- Research and identify potential business clients using prospecting tools and CRM platforms
- Conduct outbound business-to-business calls and email outreach
- Qualify prospects based on established appointment criteria
- Schedule qualified meetings for the sales team
- Maintain accurate and organized records within the CRM system
- Manage and develop a prospect pipeline to support consistent appointment generation
- Collaborate with sales leadership and team members to refine outreach strategies
- Meet or exceed defined activity and performance metrics
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in business-to-business calling or sales outreach preferred
- Entry-level candidates interested in starting a sales career are encouraged to apply
- Experience working with CRM systems and pipeline management preferred
- Familiarity with sales intelligence or prospecting tools (such as ZoomInfo or similar platforms) strongly preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
- Professional, dependable demeanor with strong organizational skills
