Location: Remote (U.S.-based only; candidates in Seattle, WA strongly preferred)
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday – Wednesday, 15 – 20 Hours Per Week

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states.

Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS, including new hires, terminations, and employee data updates.

Perform regular payroll and HR data audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Support employee benefits administration by responding to questions, generating reports, and coordinating with benefit providers.

Audit benefits invoices, HSA/FSA contributions, and employee counts to ensure accurate billing and payments.

Serve as a point of contact for HR, payroll, benefits, and related vendors.

Assist with compliance reporting, state filings, and audit requests, including workers' compensation and retirement plan audits.

Maintain HR metrics and prepare reports to support workforce analytics.

Coordinate office supply ordering, inventory management, and workplace vendor deliveries.

Provide general administrative support for HR operations and special projects as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
2–3 years of HR Generalist or People Operations experience, preferably in a fast-paced corporate or startup environment.

Experience processing payroll and supporting employee benefits administration.

Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as Paylocity or similar platforms.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for reporting, analysis, and data management.

Comfortable learning and utilizing AI tools and other HR technologies.

Experience managing benefits portals and coordinating with external vendors.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate office operations, employee events, and catering for large groups.

Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
