As the Chemist, you will provide analytical support for quality control testing of pharmaceutical products, raw materials, in-process samples, stability samples, and finished products. You will perform and document laboratory testing, evaluate results against established specifications, troubleshoot analytical methods and equipment, and support method validation and investigations. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining cGMP, safety, data integrity, and quality standards. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

• Perform analytical QC testing on raw materials, in-process samples, stability samples, finished products, and other assigned samples. 

• Accurately document test results in accordance with cGMP, SOPs, and quality requirements. 

• Evaluate analytical results against established specifications and promptly report discrepancies or quality concerns. 

• Troubleshoot analytical methods, assays, and laboratory equipment as needed. 

• Assist with analytical method development, validation, transfer, and special testing studies. 

• Support investigations related to analytical failures, out-of-specification results, and other laboratory issues. 

• Calibrate, maintain, and assist with qualification of laboratory instruments and automated systems. 

• Review and verify analytical results generated by other laboratory personnel as assigned. 

• Maintain laboratory safety, cleanliness, and compliance with established quality standards. 

• Support efficient sample turnaround to meet production and quality control needs. 

• Prepare clear documentation and reports for testing, investigations, and special studies. 

• Provide technical guidance to less-experienced team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Other duties as assigned  

Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, a related scientific discipline, or equivalent analytical experience. 

• 1–5 years of analytical experience in a pharmaceutical, laboratory, or other scientific environment. 

• Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements, USP standards, FDA laboratory expectations, and data integrity practices. 

• Experience performing chemical, instrumental, and chromatographic analyses. 

• Knowledge of analytical method development, validation, testing, and technical reporting. 

• Familiarity with laboratory equipment installation, qualification, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. 

• Strong computer skills and experience working with laboratory or analytical systems. 

• Effective verbal communication, technical writing, and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to prioritize work, troubleshoot routine issues, and escalate compliance, technical, or safety concerns appropriately. 

• Ability to support corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance. 

• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. 

• Ability to meet required visual acuity standards and perform the physical activities associated with a laboratory environment.
