As the Respiratory Therapist, you will provide patient-centered care focused on the setup, education, and ongoing support of sleep apnea therapy. You will guide patients and caregivers in the proper use of respiratory equipment, monitor treatment progress through follow-ups and data tracking systems, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure effective care plans. This role also involves maintaining equipment, completing administrative tasks, and contributing to process improvements while delivering a high level of service and professionalism in all patient interactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Educate patients and caregivers on the correct setup, usage, and maintenance of sleep apnea therapy equipment

Conduct routine follow-ups with patients to monitor therapy progress and address individual needs

Evaluate returned PAP devices to confirm functionality and readiness for reissue

Sanitize, dry, and prepare demonstration masks for future patient use

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in PAP monitoring systems and related platforms

Collaborate with prescribing clinicians to review patient conditions, treatment plans, and home care considerations

Stay current with best practices by participating in ongoing training and professional development

Handle payment transactions for equipment and supplies provided during patient appointments

Perform administrative duties such as preparing patient charts, completing documentation, and managing required paperwork

Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and patient care delivery

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Active state licensure with appropriate respiratory therapy credential or registry eligibility

Familiarity with PAP therapy devices, supplies, and related equipment

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Effective time management and organizational abilities, with a professional approach to phone, email, and text communication

At least two years of clinical experience in sleep medicine or a related specialty preferred

Background as a Medical Assistant, Respiratory Therapist, Sleep Technologist, or Licensed Practical Nurse is preferred

Proficiency in common computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and cloud-based tools
