A leading provider of patient-centered advanced, minimally invasive treatments, specializing in addressing acute and chronic pain conditions of the neck, back, and joints through state-of-the-art, non-surgical techniques is seeking a Provider Credentialing Specialist.  

As the Provider Credentialing Specialist, you will manage provider credentialing and recredentialing activities while ensuring accurate, compliant, and up-to-date records. You will coordinate with providers, insurance carriers, and healthcare networks to track licenses, credentials, applications, and renewals while maintaining CAQH profiles and other required documentation. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Manage provider credentialing and recredentialing while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. 

  • Monitor provider licenses, credentials, certifications, and renewal deadlines to ensure records remain current. 

  • Communicate with providers regarding credentialing requirements, missing documentation, and upcoming expirations. 

  • Follow up with insurance carriers and provider networks regarding credentialing, enrollment, and contracting status. 

  • Prepare and submit contracting and recredentialing applications accurately and on time. 

  • Maintain accurate CAQH profiles and supporting provider documentation. 

  • Organize and update records for licenses, credentials, payer enrollments, and insurance contracts. 

  • Safeguard confidential provider, patient, and business information in accordance with applicable requirements. 

  • Communicate professionally with providers, patients, coworkers, vendors, and external partners. 

  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Exercise sound judgment, respond effectively to feedback, and follow established escalation and safety procedures. 

  • Adapt to changing priorities and support team needs in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Other duties as assigned  

  

Qualifications  

  • 1+ year of provider credentialing or related healthcare experience preferred. 

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification preferred. 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

  • Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar healthcare systems preferred. 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy when managing credentialing documentation and records. 

  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, service-focused approach. 

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing priorities.
