Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA
Employment Type: Contract, approx 3 Months
Schedule: Part Time, 2-3 Days Per Week
As the Director of Marketing, you will lead the development and optimization of marketing strategies designed to drive user acquisition, engagement, retention, and growth within the mobile gaming space. You will evaluate current marketing programs, tools, and team capabilities, identify opportunities to improve performance, and implement data-driven strategies across paid media, CRM, and lifecycle marketing. Working closely with Engineering and other cross-functional teams, you will strengthen measurement and testing practices, evaluate new marketing technologies, and help maximize the overall effectiveness of the marketing organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Evaluate the current marketing strategy, team structure, tools, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.

Develop and execute marketing strategies focused on user acquisition, engagement, retention, and growth.

Oversee paid advertising across channels such as Google, Meta, and other relevant platforms.

Assess campaign performance and optimize marketing spend based on measurable results and ROI.

Lead CRM and lifecycle marketing initiatives, including campaigns through platforms such as CleverTap.

Establish stronger testing and measurement practices for creative, messaging, audiences, and advertising campaigns.

Evaluate existing internal marketing tools and recommend new platforms or technologies when appropriate.

Monitor the mobile gaming marketplace, competitive landscape, and emerging marketing trends.

Partner closely with Engineering and other internal teams to improve marketing capabilities, data access, and campaign execution.

Lead, develop, and optimize the marketing team to improve effectiveness, accountability, and overall performance.

Qualifications
-
Previous marketing experience within the mobile gaming industry required.

Proven experience leading marketing strategy, user acquisition, retention, and growth initiatives.

Strong knowledge of paid media platforms, including Google and Meta.

Experience with CRM and lifecycle marketing platforms such as CleverTap or similar tools.

Demonstrated ability to evaluate marketing performance, identify gaps, and implement measurable improvements.

Strong understanding of A/B testing, campaign optimization, attribution, and marketing analytics.

Experience assessing and implementing marketing technology, tools, and processes.

Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Product, and other cross-functional teams.

Strong leadership experience with the ability to develop and manage high-performing marketing teams.

Strategic, analytical mindset with a willingness to challenge existing processes and explore new approaches.
