As the Paralegal, you will support business immigration matters by preparing and managing complex petitions, applications, and supporting documentation throughout the case lifecycle. You will work closely with attorneys and clients to gather information, monitor deadlines, prepare responses to government inquiries, and ensure accurate and timely filings. This role requires strong case management, attention to detail, client service, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment. 

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Draft supporting documentation, correspondence, and case materials for attorney review. 

  • Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), PERM audits, and other government inquiries. 

  • Prepare and organize business immigration petitions and applications, including H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, and other complex case types. 

  • Manage immigration cases from initiation through filing, tracking deadlines, requirements, and case status. 

  • Communicate regularly with clients to gather documentation, provide updates, and address case-related questions. 

  • Review case materials for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable immigration requirements. 

  • Maintain organized electronic case files and update immigration or document management systems. 

  • Coordinate with attorneys, administrative staff, and other team members to keep cases progressing efficiently. 

  • Prioritize multiple matters and meet filing deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment. 

  • Deliver responsive, professional client service while maintaining confidentiality and attention to detail. 

  • Other duties as assigned  

  

Qualifications  

  • 5+ years of experience supporting business immigration matters in a fast-paced legal environment. 

  • Strong knowledge of H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, and other employment-based immigration processes. 

  • Experience preparing RFE responses, PERM audit responses, and complex immigration filings. 

  • Strong case management, organization, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. 

  • Excellent written communication and business writing skills. 

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing legal documents and case materials. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and immigration or document management systems such as INSZoom. 

  • Strong client service and interpersonal skills with a professional, responsive approach. 

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of assignments, and adapt to changing priorities. 

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and support staff.
