As the first point of contact for patients, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming experience while managing patient registration, appointment check-ins, and a high volume of incoming calls. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, bring previous electronic medical records (EMR) experience, and contribute to a collaborative healthcare team.
What You'll Do
-
Welcome and greet patients in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
-
Manage a high volume of incoming telephone calls while providing timely, courteous assistance.
-
Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately within the clinic's EMR system.
-
Complete patient check-in procedures, including verifying demographic information and necessary documentation.
-
Assist with appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, and general front office coordination.
-
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
-
Communicate effectively with clinical staff to support patient flow and efficient daily operations.
-
Balance multiple administrative responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and exceptional customer service.
-
Support other front office and clerical responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For
-
Previous experience working with an electronic medical records (EMR) system is required.
-
Experience with Allscripts, UroChart, or similar medical records systems is highly preferred.
-
Prior experience as a medical receptionist, patient services representative, or front office administrator in a healthcare setting preferred.
-
Comfortable handling a high volume of incoming calls while assisting patients in person.
-
Strong computer skills, data entry accuracy, and attention to detail.
-
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first approach.
-
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and remain organized in a busy medical office environment.
-
Familiarity with patient registration, appointment scheduling, and medical office procedures.
-
Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working independently and as part of a healthcare team.
-
Ability to consistently work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Additional Position Details
-
Schedule: Part-time, three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday).
-
Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
-
Dress Code: Employees should provide their own scrubs or wear comfortable, professional medical office attire.
-
