Salary/Pay Rate: $30.04 – $35.50 per hour
Location: Onsite in Washington, DC (free parking available, close to metro stops)
Employment Type: Contract (1–2 months, open-ended until permanent hire is in place)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be responsible for processing inbound and outbound data utilizing your tech savvy skills, providing outstanding customer service, assisting throughout the hiring process, and maintaining consistent organization. You will be responsible for providing friendly customer service to guests and staff by supporting reception activities and the administrative flow of the office.  Through your attention to detail and warm, friendly attitude you'll provide a great experience to those entering the business and help support daily operations.  
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk, greeting and escorting visitors
  • Coordinate with building security for visitor registration and access
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to general office inquiries
  • Maintain office organization, cleanliness, and overall presentation
  • Track and manage office supplies, inventory, and materials
  • Support meeting logistics, including room setup/teardown and catering coordination
  • Prepare and organize materials such as data sheets, packets, and branded items
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and mail distribution
  • Support internal teams with administrative needs as they arise
  • Assist with office coordination for meetings and events, including visits from external partners and stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of administrative, front desk, or office coordination experience
  • Strong professionalism and polished communication skills; comfortable interacting with high-level visitors
  • Ability to work independently and follow direction with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with Adobe (for basic document formatting or design) is a plus
  • Experience with invoicing tools (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus
